Description
I am frequently asked what the difference between counseling and mentoring is. In a nutshell, let me say this. Mentoring is when you find yourself at the start of a road and your dreams and goals are at the end of that road. This journey down that road is littered with dogs of rejection, trauma, pain, fear, hardship, hopelessness, and other emotions all vying for your attention. We sometimes take risks, become confident, and allow them to get to us; when they do and attack us, we need counseling.
Mentoring is simply a process of assisting you in making the right decisions, teaching you which dogs to avoid, understanding the warning signs of an attack, and operating within a certain safety and protection boundary. Many a times people just need some advise and this is what makes mentoring so unique. Sessions can be added at a discount rate which works out to only R200 per session.
